The Paris, Air Evac Lifeteam base has been selected as the company’s 2013 Region 4 Base of the Year. Region 4 consists of Air Evac Lifeteam bases in Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.

The Base of the Year Award is presented to the base in the Air Evac Lifeteam system that best exemplifies the company’s mission, including community service, education, and scene work. Regional Director of Base Operations Judy Dyke said, the Paris base is dedicated to each of the communities it serves.

“The base is currently working with Sparks Regional Medical Center to develop a network to teach Advanced Stroke Life Support classes,” Dyke said. “The crew members and managers are actively involved in the communities, participating in many fundraising and awareness events.”

This summer the crews have worked with one of the poorest communities in the service area. They helped ‘Stuff the Bus’ to give underprivileged children the opportunity to start the school year on a positive note. Dyke said the Paris Air Evac Lifeteam base continually works to make a positive impact on medical care in the Arkansas River Valley, and is very deserving of the Region 4 Base of the Year award.
