Calf To Be Given Away During Fair, County 4-Hers Selling Chances

Farm Credit Services of Western Arkansas recently donated funds to the Logan County 4-H Foundation toward the purchase of a calf to be given away at the South Logan County Fair in Booneville on Saturday, Sept. 6.

The heifer calf was raised by Brian Weisenfels and should weigh between 500-550 pounds. Subiaco Farmers’ Cooperative will provide the feed for the calf while it is in the care of the Logan County 4-H clubs.

Tickets for the drawing for the calf may be purchased from any Logan County 4-H member and will also be available for purchase at both county fairs. Money received from this fundraiser provides support for 4-H members to attend national, regional and state events as well as provide funds for county camps, workshops and other educational activities. Logan County 4-H Clubs appreciate your support and the continued generosity of Farm Credit Services of Western Arkansas.
