Parkview Baptist Church announces the retirement of their pastor, Brother Andy O’Kelley. O’Kelley, 83, was forced to leave the church where he was interim pastor for 12 years.

O’Kelley was jokingly known as Parkview’s permanent interim in the Concord Baptist Association. He and his wife Rosalie live in Van Buren, and his health would no longer allow him to make the 50-mile trip to Booneville every Sunday. They were honored with a retirement party on Aug. 11, following the morning worship service.

At the same time church officials announced that Brother Bob Richardson will be coming to the church as interim pastor. Richardson has pastored churches in California and Arkansas, and is semi-retired, helping churches in need of a pastor. He and his family live on Highway 10 East, just outside of Booneville.
