Judge Betsy Danielson of Booneville announced her intention to seek the 15th Judicial Circuit Judge, Division 3, position. The 15th Judicial District consists of Conway, Logan, Scott and Yell Counties.
“I have enjoyed serving as District Judge for South Logan County and would like to put my legal experience to work as Circuit Judge,” said Danielson. “I was the first Judge in our District to oversee juvenile and domestic matters so I am very familiar with the requirements of this position. In addition I served as Circuit Judge for the criminal division. I believe my knowledge, common sense approach to the law combined with my judicial temperament makes me qualified for this important position. If elected I promise to treat everyone who comes into the courtroom with respect and dignity.”
Judge Danielson served as Juvenile Judge for the 15th District before being appointed to the Arkansas Court of Appeals. During her legal career she has worked as an Administrative Law Judge for Worker’s Compensation, a comptroller and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney. In addition to serving as District Judge, she has a general law practice in Booneville. Judge Danielson is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and the Arkansas Bar Foundation.
A lifelong resident of Logan County, Judge Danielson is married to Paul and they have one son, Erik. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Booneville and serves on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of South Logan County. She has been active with the P.E.O., an organization that provides scholarships and educational opportunities to women all over the world. She is the daughter of the late Beth and Judge Paul X Williams of Booneville.
