Billie Sue Evans

Billie Sue Evans, 88, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 in Clarksville. She was born June 16, 1925 in Booneville, to Clarence Young and Ruby (Yarborough) Glover.

She was a beloved wife and mother. Billie Sue grew up going to the First Baptist Church in Booneville but in the last 14 years she resided in Clarksville where she attended the First United Methodist Church in Clarksville. She was a 50-year member of the P.E.O. Club.

She enjoyed her roses and the piano.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, J.H. Evans; one brother, C.Y. Glover; and her parents before mentioned.

A graveside service was held Monday, July 22, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.

She is survived by one daughter, Laura Harwell and husband Johnny of Clarksville; one son, Robert H. Evans of Clarksville; four grandchildren, Ashley Stone and husband Doug, Jeptha H. Evans III, Rachel Robinson and husband Scott, and Jenny Mikles; two great-grandchildren, Riley Evans and Parker Robinson; two step-grandchildren, Dory O’Neal and Kay Cloar; two step-great-grandchildren, Jenna Staub and Henry Cloar.
