Billy Donald Cobb

Billy Donald Cobb, 83, of Booneville, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at his home. He was born Sept. 19, 1930, in County Line, Ark., to John Omie Cobb and Edith Walker-Cobb.

He was a retired businessman, the former owner of Bill’s Service Center in Booneville. He truly loved his family and the time they spent together. He enjoyed working in his shop, raising cattle, coin collecting, and growing a vegetable garden each year; always sharing the bounty of his work. He was a faithful Christian and a member of Agape Family Church, in Booneville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Omie Cobb and Edith Walker-Cobb-Wright; daughter, Belinda Cobb-Maloy; great-grandsons Orien and Charlie Maloy; and sisters Reba Austin, and Alma Pierini.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 18, at 2 p.m. at the Living Word Tabernacle in Booneville with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Virginia Stephens-Cobb of the home; two sons, Billy W. Cobb and wife Torrie of Little Rock and Bobby Cobb of Booneville; two daughters Brenda Harrel and husband Casey of Booneville, and Sue Daws-Carey and husband Joe of Booneville, one brother Wayne Cobb and wife Jeannie of Booneville, 17 grandchildren, Stephen Maloy, Terrell Maloy, Hannah Maloy-Simmons, Andre’ Maloy, Rusty Maloy, Adam Horne, Josiah Cobb, Megan Cobb, Kennedy Cobb, Amber Cobb, Isaac Cobb, Austin Cobb, Bryce Cobb, KhyLeigh Cobb, Jacob Harrel, Chelsie Harrel, Cody Harrel; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Stephen Maloy, Terrell Maloy, Andre’ Maloy, Adam Horne, Josiah Cobb, Isaac Cobb, Austin Cobb, Bryce Cobb and Cody Harrel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Duke, Earl Hardin, Shelburn Bryant, Charles Kennedy, Steve Kennedy, Jerry Kennedy, Bill Davis, James Martin and Victor Pierini.

The family will visit with friends on Thursday, April 17, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Roberts Funeral Home in Booneville.
