Charles Hansel Hodges Jr.

Charles Hansel Hodges Jr., 70, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 in Dallas, Texas. He was born Feb. 25, 1943 in Bakersfield, Calif., to Charles Hansel Hodges Sr. and Shirley Jean (Smith) Hodges.

He was a right-of-way manager and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Booneville. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Arkansas Alumni Association. He was a an avid Razorback fan.

He is preceded in death by parents, Charles H. Hodges, Sr. and Jean Smock; brothers, Jimmy Dale Hodges and Claude Dennis Hodges; and sister, Deborah Jean Hodges.

A funeral service was held Friday, June 21, at Roberts Memorial Chapel in Booneville, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Joannie of the home; two daughters, Traci Chavez and husband, Michael of Bastrop, Texas and Kim Parris and husband Lee of Cabot; one son, Charles Hansel Hodges, III of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Diane Cottingham of Jonesboro; one brother, David Lee Hodges of Vidor, Texas; grandchildren, Travis, Ashley, Greg, Laura, Chrystal and Cherryl; and one grandchild, Eli.

Pallbearers were Phil Mikles, Buck Mikles, Brian Bone, Wendell Pyles, Gary Shaw, and Jerry Jeffries. Pawbearers were Jack, Roxy and Bodie.

Honorary pallbearers were Lee Parris, Greg Parris, Drake Widener, Michael Chavez, Christopher Chavez, Travis Chavez and Phil Hackler.
