Elmer D. Woods

Elmer D. Woods, 73, of Booneville, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 in Waldron. He was born July 30, 1940 in Cole, Okla., to David and Viola (Putnam) Woods.

He was a retired welder and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mansfield. He enjoyed gardening, target shooting and archery.

A funeral services is scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 16, at the First United Methodist Church in Mansfield with burial in Coop Prairie Cemetery in Mansfield, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.

He is survived by his wife, Tommye Sue Woods of the home; two daughters, Monica Susan Clark and husband Darren of Dora, Okla., and Leah Elaine Valero and husband Ralph; one son, Christopher Woods and wife Mary Anne of Booneville; three sisters, Dolly Taylor and Ruth Bilbery, both of California, and Dorothy Betersky of Oklahoma; three brothers, Lee Woods of Fort Smith, Melton Woods of California and Douglas Woods of Fayetteville; and grandchildren, Steven, Jeremy, Aelford, Jessie, Yolonda, and Toni.

The pallbearers will be Steven, Jeremy, and Aelford Allspach, Darren Clark, Travis Clark, and Lee Woods. Honorary pallbearer will be Christopher Woods.
