Gladys Ida Wolfe Wilson

Gladys Ida Wolfe Wilson, 93, of the Brownsville Community north of Booneville, departed this life on Aug. 13, 2013 in Booneville. She and her identical twin sister were born March 31, 1920 near Chattanooga, Okla., to Orville Cullen and Ada Lavada Allen Wolfe.

She attended Chattanooga Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1940. She was a life-long Christian. She was a homemaker and proud mother, grandmother, and aunt. She was married on Sept. 17, 1940 at Fort Sill, Okla., to Walter J. “Jim” Wilson.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years; two brothers, Jim and Allen “Buddy” Wolfe; one sister, Helen Wolfe Epps; and one grandson, Todd Oren Harbour.

A private graveside service was held at Spring Hill Cemetery in Chismville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

She is survived by three sisters, Beryl Wolfe Duer, of Overland Park, Kan.; twin, Golda Wolfe Cotney of Sun City West, Ariz.; and Alice Wolfe Walker of Aurora, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind two beloved daughters, Dixie Wilson Trowbridge and Lois Wilson Harbour and two cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Trowbridge and Ethan Harbour, all of Booneville.

She lived a full life and will be missed by her family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be her Logan County EMS technicians who have provided exceptional services throughout the years.
