Janie Matilda Brewer Jones, 75 of Booneville, passed from this life on Friday, June 6, 2014 in Fort Smith. She was born May 25, 1939 in Ashley County, Arkansas to Vasco and Irene (Hooks) Brewer.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a retired as the head cook at Booneville Elementary School and was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Booneville and Relay for Life. She enjoyed fishing, camping, crocheting, cooking, and spending time with family especially the grandkids and great-grand kids.

She is preceded in death by two sons, Douglas Wayne Jones and Dennis Allen Jones; grandson, Casee Lee Stewart; and her parents.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m, Monday, June 9, at Glendale Baptist Church near Booneville with burial in Carolan Cemetery near Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Doug Jones of the home; one daughter, Dana Rachelle Green and husband Bobby of Booneville; three sons, Jimmy Don Jones and wife Barbara of Magazine, Danny Charles Jones and wife Gail of Clarksville, and Darwin “GoGo” Jones and wife Tammy of Booneville; one sister, Leona Middlebrooks and husband Wayne of Bastrop, La.; one niece, Mary Jane O’Neal and husband Michael of Bastrop, La.; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

The pallbearers will be Tyler, Jason, William and Bradley Jones; David Harding, Andy Melton, and Curt McElrath. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe, Cecil, Bill, Merle Dean, and Marion Hooks.
