Joe T. Kington
Joe T. Kington, 70, of Booneville, passed away, Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, in Fort Smith. He was born Jan. 6, 1943 in Kansas City, Mo.
Joe was formerly a cook but retired from the ACE Comb Company in Booneville. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserves and was a member of the Lakeview Pentecostal Church near Booneville.
He enjoyed softball, going to church and reading his Bible, woodworking, working crossword puzzles, but especially enjoyed visiting with friends and family especially his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Roberts; one sister, Margie Kronlage; one brother, James White, and great-grandson, Ryan Matthew.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013 at the Lakeview Pentecostal Church near Booneville, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of the home; five daughters, Tina Shackleford and husband Alton, Sheila Hester and husband Larry, Tammy Goff and husband Steve, Lisa Taylor and husband Randy, and Sheri Hester and husband Jody, all of Booneville; one sister, Jewell Dodson of Conway, Mo.; one brother, Jack Dieken of Abilene, Texas; nine grandchildren, Sheena, LaCrissa, Jennifer, Candice, Joey, Sarah, Emalinee, Jodi Ellen, and Patricia; and seven great-grandchildren, Jacob, Presley, Braden, Paige, Ethaniel, Brooklyn, and Ella.
Pallbearers were James Sites, Larry Hester, Willie Versluys, Steve Goff, Randy Taylor and Paul Vernon.
Honorary pallbearers were Alton Shackleford and Jody Hester.
