Johnnie Lee Napier
Johnnie Lee Napier, 71, of Booneville, passed from this life on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013 in Booneville. She was born Dec. 26, 1941 in Driggs, Ark., to John Daniel “Slim” and Arlie E. Jordan Brown.
She moved to Arkansas in 1963 and worked in hospitals and factories until getting her nursing degree in 1980. She then worked in all areas of the nursing field and she spent the last three years before retiring as a clinical nursing instructor at the Ozark Campus Arkansas Tech University.
She enjoyed crocheting , computer games (Pogo) and reading.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Napier, and a son, Troy Johnson.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013 at Trinity Pentecostal Church of God Church in Magazine, with burial in Mount Pisgah Cemetery near Magazine, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
She is survived by two daughters, Molly Holbrook-Kirbo and Trish Johnson of Booneville; three sons, Clay Holbrook, Scott Holbrook, and Dale Johnson, all of Booneville; her mother, Arlie Jordan Brown of Booneville; seven granddaughters, Danna Duke, Sarah Holbrook, Amber Vance, Shawna Johnson-Pye, Kayleen Johnson, Paige Johnson, and Lisa Holbrook; six grandsons, Willie Holbrook, David Johnson, Zeke Holbrook, Dylan Johnson, Samuel Johnson, and Antonio Pye; five great-granddaughters, Dalan Duke, Savannah Holbrook, Emilee Holbrook, Hailee Sparks, and Trinity Woodrall; seven great-grandsons, Sean Pye, Brayden Pye, Tristen Pye, Camden Pye, Brantlee Keenon, Trenton Woodrall, and Triston Woodrall; four sisters, May Gregory, Pat “Sissy”’ Ashton, JoAnna Armstrong, and Gayle Fowler; three brothers, Pat Rhodes, Clay Rhodes, and Jimmie Rhodes; and a wonderful bunch of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great family and friends.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday evening at Roberts Funeral Home.
