Lawrence “Kid” Brasher

Lawrence “Kid” Brasher, 87, of Waveland, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 in Fort Smith. The son of William and Gertrude Weldon Brasher, he was born Nov. 20, 1926 in Fort Smith. He was a farmer and was a member of the Danville Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Billie Louise Brasher; a brother, William Brasher; and a sister, Vida Pearl Davis.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 at Moore’s Chapel Cemetery at Waveland and under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Mr. John McCourt will officiate.

He is survived by a son, Larry Brasher and wife Linda of Waveland; daughter, Lynda Tackett, Danville; three grandchildren, Allen Turner, Amanda Scott, and Jared Brasher, all of Waveland; five great-grandchildren, Caden and Peyton Jones, Lawson Brasher, Precious Whitehead and Aura Turner.
