Leona Agnes Adair
Leona Agnes Adair, 82, of Booneville, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 in Fort Smith. She was born Nov. 1, 1931 in Montgomery County, Arkansas to Charlie and Fannie (Blackburn) Goldman.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Lakeview Pentecostal Church where she was very involved in the women’s ministry. She loved her grandchildren and family, sewing and quilting, and listening to gospel music.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo Newton Adair; son, Odis Adair; grandsons, Nathan Adair and Charlie Ryan “RyRy” Adair; her parents; and sisters, Geneva Plunkett and Ivanell Yandell.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 8, at the Lakeview Pentecostal Church near Booneville with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
She is survived by five sons, Jobe Adair and wife Anna, Charlie Adair and wife Elisa, Gene Adair, Newton Adair and wife Sharon, and Danny Joe Adair; one brother, James Goldman of Enid, Okla.; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
The pallbearers will be Jobe Adair, Travis Adair, Caleb Adair, Zac Adair, Chad Adair, Rocky Adair and Dustin Adair. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Adair, Joshua Adair, and J.J. Adair.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Lakeview Pentecostal Church.
