Mary Jane Cox

Mary Jane Cox, 85, of Booneville, Arkansas, went to be with her loving Savior, Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born March 22, 1928 in the Grayson community near Booneville to Goldie and Katie Jones.

She was homemaker and a hard worker and was a member of the Lake View Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, going to yard sales, and gardening especially tending to her roses, but most of all she enjoyed taking care of her husband Delmer.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Delmer Cox; one son, Earl Cox; one brother, J.R. Jones; and daughter-in-laws, Bonnett and Laura Cox; and her parents, before mentioned.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m.,, Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014 at the Cornerstone Church in Booneville, with burial in French Prairie Cemetery in Ione, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home. There will be no graveside services.

Mary Jane leaves behind to cherish her memory, three sons, Tom Cox of Booneville, DeeWayne Cox of Booneville, and David Cox of Magazine; three sisters, Polly Lajoie of Fowler, Calif., and Vera Walker and Sadie Schroyer, both of Booneville; one brother, Jerry Jones of Ratcliff; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren who dearly missed their grandma.

Mary will be missed by all who knew her and the many lives she touched.

The pallbearers will be Jordan, Justin, Jon, Russell and Darin Cox.

The honorary pallbearers will be Talor Tatterson, Ethan Hughes, Michael Cox, Jet Quick, Jr. Quick, Luke Watson, Ashton Watson and Delton Cox.
