William Glenn Ives, Sr.

William Glenn Ives, Sr., 84, of Booneville, passed from this life on Saturday, July 19, 2014 in Booneville. He was born Aug. 15, 1929 in Gillette, Arkansas to Charles A. and Mary Ruth (Black) Ives.

He was a retired electrical lineman in California and Arkansas. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was a member of I.B.E.W. and the Arkansas Valley Antique Tractor Club. He enjoyed fishing and restoring old tractors.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 23, at Roberts Memorial Chapel in Booneville, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife Agnes L. Ives of the home; one daughter, Dianna Ives of Booneville; one son, William Glenn Ives, Jr. and wife Michelle of Boise, Idaho; one brother, Dick Ives of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Candace, Elizabeth, Kimberly, and Katelyn; two great-grandchildren, Christian and Conner; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Bob Waid, Bill Garner, John Fuchs, Jack Fulgham, Bob Hill and Doyle Benson. The honorary pallbearers will be the River Valley Tractor Club Members, and Stewart Aldrich, Bob and Jimmy Staton, Jim Hugh White, and Herb Henderson.
