Touched By Home Town
On April 27, an EF4 tornado ripped through our little town of Vilonia. My husband, son, and I, along with our three dogs were home at the time, taking shelter in an inner bathroom. Our subdivision was leveled, and sadly, there were fatalities among our neighbors. By God’s almighty hand of protection, we climbed out unharmed from the still intact bathroom onto piles of rubble of the rest of our completely destroyed home.
Support immediately started pouring in, and a great deal of support for us has come from Booneville. I was born and raised here, and my family still resides in Booneville. My husband, Justin, was at one time the manager of the Walmart in town, and our son, Jase, spends as many weekends here with his Mammy and PawPaw as he does at home. We have very strong ties to this community.
We have been so blessed by the generosity of the citizens of Booneville. With the donations, supplies, calls, messages, texts, and prayers, we are truly touched by your love, support, and kindness. Our home may be Vilonia, but I am proud to say my hometown is Booneville. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.
