<p><strong>Service Recognized. </strong>Samantha Heavin (center) was recognized for her seven years of service to Farm Bureau members as a member service representative for South Logan Farm Bureau. Rich Hillman (left), Vice President, and Warren Carter, Executive Vice President of Arkansas Farm Bureau recently presented Heavin with the award at the 2016 Arkansas Farm Bureau Member Service Representative Conference in Little Rock. The 80 secretaries receiving awards represented 2,031 years of total service to the counties, ranging from five years of service to 48 years. Arkansas Farm Bureau is a nonprofit, private farm and rural advocacy organization of more than 210,000 families throughout the state working to improve farm and rural life.</p>

<p><strong>Trike-A-Thon</strong></p><p>On May 6 the children of Joyful Days Daycare conducted their annual St. Judes trike-a-thon. The 14 trike riders, staff and nine volunteers were escorted by the Booneville Police Department to the Assembly of God Church where they enjoyed the morning riding trikes to raise money for kids battling cancer and other diseases. Joyful Days raised $1,519.87 for St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital while teaching valuable riding safety tips to the children. Joyful Days would like to thank Simple Simons, Pizza Italia, Kelli Eaves, Ben Villarreal, the Arkansas Wildlife Officers Association as well as all the family, friends and sponsors donating to the cause.</p>
