<p><strong>New CASA Volunteers</strong></p><p>Two new CASA volunteers, Joyce Friddle and Sonia Powell, were sworn-in by Judge Terry Sullivan on Aug. 11, at the courthouse in Waldron. CASA of the Tri-Peaks provides advocacy services for abused and neglected children in the 15th Judicial District which includes Logan, Scott, Yell and Conway counties. There are currently 186 children in foster care in the 15th Judicial District.</p>

<p><strong>4H Calf</strong></p><p>Farm Credit Services of Western Arkansas recently donated funds to the Logan County 4-H Foundation toward the purchase of a calf to be given away at the South Logan County Fair in Booneville on Saturday, Sept. 12. The heifer calf should weigh between 550-600 pounds and will be in the care of Wyatt Rongey of the Booneville Livestock 4-H Club until the drawing. Tickets may be purchased from any Logan County 4-H member and will also be available for purchase at both county fairs. Money received from this fundraiser provides support for 4-H members to attend national, regional and state events as well as provide funds for county camps, workshops and other educational activities. Logan County 4-H Clubs appreciate your support and the continued generosity of Farm Credit Services of Western Arkansas.
