On Oct. 14, 25 Logan County 4-Hers gathered at the Booneville Courthouse. They were celebrating the end of National 4-H week by providing a potluck for the members of the Quorum Court.


<p><strong>95 Years Young</strong></p><p>Several of V. J. Wingfield’s friends and neighbors got together at Z to A’s for his 95th birthday on Sept. 2. Wingfield has always been a friend to everyone who knows him. He has lived in and around Magazine his entire life — he has lived in the home he now lives in since 1946 or 1947. He has always been a farmer and rancher and worked at the Ace Comb Co. for 20 years.</p>

<p><strong>Harrold Robinson Day</strong></p><p>Harrold Robinson shakes hands with Booneville Mayor Jerry Wilkins as the mayor presents him with a proclamation naming last Monday as Harrold Robinson Day in Booneville. Robinson is a Vietnam Veteran who worked as an auto parts salesman in Booneville before subbing and then being hired full time by the United States Postal Service in 1992. Robinson retired from the Post Office on Monday, Sept. 30. Robinson has also worked to improve downtown Booneville by buying and renovating several office buildings and he has also been instrumental in projects at the First United Methodist Church, where he is a member. Robinson plans to hunt, fish, continue working on businesses and spend time with his grandchildren and wife, LeeAnn.</p>
