<p><strong>Still Flying</strong></p><p>Some state announced an intent to remove Confederate flags from government buildings last week and movements to eliminate the emblem from other state materials was launched in others. Walmart and other retail giants also announced they will no longer stock Confederate flag merchandise last week, all in the wake of an apparently racially-motivated murder of nine people in a church in South Carolina but the desire to rid the country of the symbol has met with backlash.
