<p><strong>Stopover. </strong>A half dozen vintage airplanes dropped in at the Booneville Airport Sunday morning. The troupe was en route to their home base in Houston after having performed at an Air Adventure show in Oskhosh, Wisc. The planes, some of which have appeared in films, are T 6 World War II planes, which are used to represent both the US planes of the era and the Japanese Zero planes. Among the planes was the winner for Best of Show in Oskkosh (above). The plane is a 1944 T-6F owned by Lanny Parcel of Justin, Texas.</p>

As of Monday morning, a single candidate had filed for the Booneville School Board and none had for the Magazine School Board during the weeklong filing period that ended yesterday at noon.


<p><strong>One lane road</strong>. Heavy rainfall during May caused this section of Highway 23 just north of Chismville in Logan County to give way creating a single lane of traffic.
