<p><strong>Sheriff escort</strong>. Following his conviction on a charge of raping a girl under the age of 14 and sentenced to life in prison, Eric Scott Paulson was escorted from the courthouse in Booneville by Logan County Sheriff Steve Smith Tuesday. Paulson was delivered to the Arkansas Department of Corrections Wednesday morning.</p>

A fundraiser for St. Jude’s the event was held in memory of Boux Anderson, who died at the age of 7 last August from a brain tumor. Anderson, the son of Jimmy Anderson, Jr. and Sandra “Dolly” Anderson, was treated at Children’s Hospital in Little Rock and St. Jude’s in Memphis, Tenn., where his parents came into contact with several other children undergoing treatment at the hospital. The Andersons sent several lanterns skyward in memory of those children as well Saturday.</p>
