<p>Pocahontas (Karly Reid) is returned to her father, Chief Powhatan (James Ray) by Captain John Smith (Hayden Woodhull) during a production of the play Pocahontas by the Booneville High School Drama and Choral departments. A portion of the play was performed in a private setting for Booneville Junior High Students and will be for high school and elementary students tomorrow. Public performances are set for 7 p.m. Friday, April 18 and 2 p.m., Sunday April 20, in the BHS auditorium. The play is directed by Doug Sanders.</p>

<p><strong>Snow Man</strong></p><p>For the second straight weekend a winter storm passed through South Logan County. Sunday afternoon’s snowfall left enough accumulation for some residents to build snowmen like the guy above in the 200 block of Riviera Drive. The weekend weather front coupled with an expected additional front that arrived Monday morning led officials to cancel classes for the first time this school year in both Booneville and Magazine.</p>
