<p><strong>World Series Champs</strong></p><p>A team with players from Booneville and Charleston captured the 13-and-under USSSA World Series title in Dallas, Texas earlier this month. The team compiled a 7-2 record in the tournament. They were seeded 17th after pool play but beat the top seed, the 3-seed and the 4-seed twice to win the title.
